With funding from the Ohio Department of Health (ODH) and the Ohio Department of Medicaid (ODM), the Ohio Smoke Free Families Pediatrics Learning Collaborative is a partnership between ODH, ODM, the Ohio Colleges of Medicine Government Resource Center (GRC), the Ohio Chapter of American Academy of Pediatrics (OhioAAP), nationally renowned clinical advisors, and provider sites dedicated to reducing the rate of tobacco use among their clients.
GRC
As the driving force behind Ohio's formal state-university partnership since 2008, GRC represents all seven of Ohio's colleges of medicine and links academic health sciences with state health and human service agencies. GRC staff members are career healthcare and human service research experts, many of whom have held leadership positions in state and local government healthcare agencies and private sector organizations. In addition to the Ohio Smoke Free Families Learning Collaborative, GRC works on a variety of projects focused on improving healthcare in Ohio. For a complete list of GRC's projects, visit https://grc.osu.edu.
Ohio Chapter of American Academy of Pediatrics (OhioAAP)
The Ohio Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics promotes the health, safety and well-being of children and adolescents so they may reach their full potential. The Ohio AAP will accomplish this by addressing the needs of children, their families, and their communities, and by supporting Chapter members through advocacy, education, research, service, and improving the systems through which they deliver pediatric care.
